I have not come across a verse by verse translation [Devanagiri-English]

In Sumerian myths there is mention of seven fish people with beard and fish shaped attire. They are identified to be same as the seven sages mentioned in Indic scriptures. Sumerians consider them as the founders of their culture. Seven sages include Agastya as one. The seven sages or Saptarsihs are also instrumental in the development of indian culture. Fish symbolizes their connection with the seas. Fish also symbolises the Great Flood as in the story of Manu and Matsya incarnation and the Great Flood mentioned in Indic Puranas. It is possible that the seven sages originated from the sub-merged portions of Kumari Kandam and re-established culture in Dvaraka sea shore and Sarasvati valley which became Indian civilization and also restablished it in Sumeria (or they carried the flood myth to their locale). The re-emergence is identifiable with the Merhgarh culture in Sindhu-Sarasvati valleys around 7000 BCE, with plenty of farmland settlements which later gave way to Indus-Sarasvati urban culture since 3500 BCE.

Whats the connection between Agasthyan and Sumerian Myths? Agasthyan's sumerian equivalent is who? Just started reading Kumari Kandham!

Thank you for your comments. I am planning to add more analysis articles on Mahabharata and other ancient texts and also the articles related to research on Indian connection with ancient Persia, Sumeria, Egypt, Greece, China, Russia, South East Asia and with the Mayan / Astec civilizations in America.

I am looking for a good solution for bringing new articles into the immediate focus of visitors. Currently this is not happening properly. Your suggestion is a valid one.

There will be more articles and some of the articles are updated with new information, like the article on Vyasa. I am also creating analysis-articles for most of Mahabharata incidents in the sequence of the BR Chopra's Mahabharata TV serial episodes. Hi Rajeev. Welcome to the forum of Ancient Voice. Right now visitors can create posts into existing threads as guests. If any thread needs to be created it can be requested in a post. Earlier there were some access problems for visitors because of which they were not able to create posts. Now this is corrected and every visitor will be able to create posts into a thread of their choice.
