I am impressed by your careful and pragmatic evaluation of possible chronology of the various actors in Jaya. I tend to agree with you that a "Vyasa" could be a title of capability and there could be several generations that carried on the story. The need to assume two Bheeshmas troubles me. Accordingly, I modified the table you published with a couple of new assumptions:
1. Men completed their educations at 16 and were considered mature at 20
2. Women were considered mature at 16
The table below results from these assumptions and you can see that there may be no need to assume more than one Bheeshma to fit the chronology. According to the modified chart, Bheeshma dies at 118 (which was probably very old even back then) and other people die at quite ordinary ages like 75 or 80. To re-form the table, please copy the block below into Excel and it should reformat correctly.
